Frequently asked questions
Asked and answered.
Most buying questions come up in roughly the same order. Here they are, grouped by what you're probably worrying about.
01 The method
What's 'the Core 30' actually?
It's our name for a page architecture that mirrors your Google Business Profile. One page per primary category, one per secondary category, one per service. Most businesses land at around thirty pages. The number varies — the structural rule doesn't.
Is this just SEO with a new label?
No. Most local SEO services focus on off-site tactics (citations, backlinks, directory submissions). We focus on on-site architecture and content, because that's where most local businesses are actually bottlenecked.
How is this different from agencies offering 'local SEO packages'?
Agencies sell recurring monthly retainers covering tactics with low individual impact (directory submissions, minor on-page tweaks, link acquisition). We do one proper rebuild, then you're done — no monthly fee.
Will this work for my specific business?
If you're a local business with a claimed Google Business Profile and at least a basic website, probably yes. If your GBP is suspended, or your reviews are catastrophically bad, or you're in an enormous urban market against national players — those are edge cases where we'd tell you honestly upfront.
How long before I see ranking changes?
Usually 60-90 days after launch, sometimes faster. Google needs time to crawl, index, and re-evaluate your authority for the new page structure. Anyone who promises overnight rankings is lying.
02 The process
How long does a project take?
Thirty days from kickoff to launch. That's a hard deadline on our end — if we miss it, we knock 2% off the remaining balance per day late. The deadline is part of the discipline.
What do I need to provide?
Access to your current website (or login credentials), your Google Business Profile URL, a brief interview at kickoff, and prompt feedback on the sitemap (day 3) and content (day 22). That's it. We do everything else.
How many revision rounds are included?
Two on the sitemap, two on the content. Additional rounds on the Growth tier: £120 each. Additional rounds on Complete tier: unlimited and included.
Who writes the content?
I do, personally. Not ChatGPT, not a content mill, not an outsourced copywriter. It's a solo operation — everything you see shipped, I wrote.
What if I don't like the design?
Rare. But we offer one round of design revision included. If after that you're still unhappy, we agree a reasonable exit — partial refund based on work completed, you keep whatever assets are done.
03 Pricing and payment
Why are the prices what they are?
Because it takes two to four weeks of focused work to do this properly, and my time costs what it costs. The £997/£1997/£2997 tiers scale with project scope — more pages = more research, more writing, more schema.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The quoted price is the total price. Only variable is additional pages if your GBP requires more than your tier includes — £99 each, always agreed before work starts.
Do you offer payment plans?
Standard terms are 50% to start, 50% on handover. For the Complete tier (£2,997) I can do three instalments (40/30/30) — ask in the audit response.
Do you offer a refund?
Yes. 14 days full refund from project start, no questions. After 14 days, prorated refund based on work completed.
Can I pay by invoice / bank transfer?
Yes. UK bank transfer, international wire, Stripe card, Wise — whichever works for you.
04 After launch
What happens after the 30 days?
You own everything. The site is live on your domain, the code is in a GitHub repo you own, you have a 30-page handover doc. You can hire any developer to make changes — the stack is standard Astro, thousands of devs can work on it.
Do I need to pay for hosting?
Yes, but it's cheap — around £5/month on Cloudflare Pages or similar. We'll recommend hosting based on your technical comfort. If you want we can host it for you for £10/month on our Coolify instance, but it's not required.
What if my site breaks after handover?
Static sites don't really 'break' the way WordPress does — no plugins to break, no database to corrupt. But: 60 days of free email support post-launch covers questions, small tweaks, anything that comes up.
Will the rankings hold?
Yes, if you don't actively break them. Don't gut the site, don't remove pages, don't change URL structure, don't stop updating the GBP. The method creates a durable structure — it doesn't require monthly maintenance to hold rankings.
What about future changes to Google's algorithm?
The Core 30 is built on fundamentals (entity clarity, structural alignment) rather than tactics. Algorithm updates that penalise generic local SEO tactics tend to leave aligned sites alone. No promises — nothing in SEO is forever — but we build for durability.
05 Other questions
Do you do web design beyond the Core 30?
No. We only do this specific thing. If you want brand design, custom photography, ecommerce, or heavy UX work, we'd partner you with specialists — but we don't do it ourselves.
Can you help with paid ads?
No — but it's a good question to ask. Paid ads and organic Map Pack ranking are complementary but separate. We focus on organic; happy to refer you to ad specialists who know their craft.
Do you work with clients internationally?
Yes. We work with any English-speaking market — UK, US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand. Local SEO principles translate; Google's ranking system is the same everywhere.
I'm not English-speaking — can you help?
If your customers search in English (some businesses in Europe do), yes. If your content needs to be in another language, no — we don't write in languages other than English.
Can I get on a call before buying?
I prefer not to. Most buying questions are better answered in writing. If after reading the site + the audit response you still need a call, we can schedule a 20-minute one — but 95% of the time it's not necessary.
Didn't find your question?
Ask us directly.
Every audit request has a "biggest thing holding you back" field — that's the best place to ask. We read them all personally.
